Krispy Kreme Settles Data Breach Lawsuit for $1.6 Million — Here's How to Claim Your Share
Krispy Kreme, the popular doughnut company, has agreed to pay $1.6 million to settle a class-action lawsuit.
The lawsuit was filed after a data breach that happened on November 29, 2024. During this breach, hackers may have stolen personal information from customers, including names, birth dates, Social Security numbers, and bank account details.
The company has not admitted to wrongdoing.
Who Can File a Claim?
You may be eligible if you:
- Live in the United States
- Received a notice saying your personal information may have been affected by the breach
How Much Money Could You Receive?
- $75 if you file a claim without any proof of losses
- Up to $3,500 if you can show documents proving you experienced fraud or identity theft because of the breach
Important Deadlines
Time is running out to take action:
- June 6 — Last day to opt out of the settlement or file an objection
- June 26 — Final deadline to submit a claim
